Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. click url to a file set to automatically open with an external program 2. right click URL text field 3. wait for dialog to close when the download is complete 4. click "select all" 5. click any open firebird browser window Actual Results: crash. Expected Results: the right click menu should close when the download dialog disappears.
Can confirm this using both Moz. Firebird and Mozilla SeaMonkey Gecko/20030525 on Windows NT 4.0 - TB id is TB20449216Z (for SeaMonkey) - Visual Studio Debugger shows that crash occured in GKLAYOUT.DLL => should get moved over to Browser after searching for possible dupes
Keywords: crash, stackwanted
There are several bugs related to GKLAYOUT.DLL and since these errors are often caused by something different I cannot investigate further more because I don't have any debug build but I hope the Talback information will help to find possible dupes... => over to Browser/Download Manager

Summary: Download dialog closing while right click menu is open crashes firebird → Crash when hovering over context menu after download manager closes
can you submit a recent Talkback ID (< 10 days) with a recent Mozilla build ? Previous one has now expired.
Kevin, Erik: for me (1.7b, WinXP) the context menu closes when the download is finished, so this bug cannot be hit. Firefox has a new download manager where you also cannot have such a menu after download finished. Could you please re-test if you still manage to crash an I'm doing something wrong?
Tried to reproduce in Firefox 0.8 release and the context menu simply closes when the download manager closes (correct behavior). Don't have Moz 1.7 or any other browsers to test, but I guess it's fixed in Firefox.
