Description

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312

If you open mozilla and then access this page
https://www.bancafacile24.it/HB/HomeBanking.Login?ABI=6225
(it's the login page of a home banking site)
mozilla first reports "document contains no data". If you try again, the page is
displayed. Internet Exporer, instead, loads the page at the first access.
After that, the following pages are displayed normally.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open mozilla
2. open the url: https://www.bancafacile24.it/HB/HomeBanking.Login?ABI=6225
3. "document contains no data" requester appears
4. try again the same url
5. now it works

Actual Results:
The secure page initially has to be accessed twice in order to be loaded. After
that, the site works normally.

Expected Results:
It should work at first access, as it does on IE.

This is a cross-platform problem. Every version I have used of Mozilla shows it.
I am not sure (I am not able to discover it) if it is either some kind of
malformed data sent by the server, or a real mozilla bug. Anyway, in IE it
works, so I believe it should work also in Mozilla.

Dont get any alert with build 2003053008, Windows XP
do you have HTTP Pipelyning enabled (in the prefs -> advanced -> http)?
Do you use a proxy ?

Sorry, I mismatched some bugs in my mind :) This appears to be a Mac OsX bug only.
On Windows, this does not happen. But on OsX it does.
I have no proxy, and pipelining is not enabled (i.e., default config)
OS: All → MacOS X
Hardware: All → Macintosh

WorksForMe using FizzillaMach/2003-05-29-08-trunk. Giovanni, 1.3 is a bit old
for bug reporting purposes. Can you reproduce this problem using a current
nightly build? If so, can you reproduce this problem using another Mozilla user
profile?

I am the one that first reported this bug. But after mozilla 1.3, it did not
happen anymore. Not with 1.4, nor with 1.5. Not on Mac, nor on Windows. As far
as I know, this bug is gone.
