Some email (notably SPAM) includes an image of some sort that is downloaded
automatically by the email AFTER the email is opened.  If you happen to try and
DELETE this email WHILE the picture is unfolding on the screen (before the
download is complete) Mozilla crashes the entire computer and the computer must
be reset and rebooted to get back into gear.

Mozilla deletes file currently being viewed and does not crash.

No.. I seem to be EXPERT at causing crashes and complete lockups do not generate
a talkback report.

I do have one of the emails that causes the crashes (when you try to delete it
while it is downloading and displaying the picture) if someone wants me to email
it to them.

we've determined that these are pop3 messages, and the norton anti-virus 
program is involved in this problem.
