Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030529
Build Identifier: Bad: 1.3, 1.3.1, 1.4b / Good: 1.4 rc1

The Mozilla can't start-up. It displays splashscreen and immediately shuts down.
If quick-start tray icon is active, the tray icon gets killed, too. Task manager
shows no mozilla.exe task - it looks like cleanly closed.

Failed to run (Note all have Polish support, provided by both mozilla.org and
mozillapl.org):
 Mozilla-PL-Windows-Installer-Build-ID-1.3.1.exe (mozillapl.org)
 Mozilla-PL-Windows-Installer-Build-ID-1.4Beta.exe (mozillapl.org)
 mozilla-win32-1.4b-plPL-installer.exe (mozilla.org)

Working (Note no Polish support):
 mozilla-win32-1.4rc1-installer.exe (mozilla.org)

Last one hangs after installing and activating 1.4b PL lang pack (both from
mozilla.org and mozillapl.org).

Each time I have installed CLEAN copy of Mozilla (deleted profiles, cleaned
registry, deleted app directory) on dual CPU mobo (BP6) with Windows 2000 Pro.

Any of those Mozillas run OK on Windows 2000 on the computer next to crashing
one - it has EXACTLY the same software configuration but different hardware (new
single Pentium4)

This kind of error was reported on mozillapl.org, but got no answer.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install cleanly Mozilla on Win 2K
2. Try to run any part of it
3. See splash screen
4. Wait for application to appear

Actual Results:
Nothing

Expected Results:
Show the browser or mail client window

System:
Dual Celeron 500, 384 MB RAM
 Windows 2000 Pro

Talkback/stack trace
None - application closes cleanly from point of view of OS.

Pawel: Does this problem still affect you using a recent Mozilla build, either
with or without Polish support? It's possible there is a problem specific to the
Polish translation. Please let us know if this is still a problem, or if things
are working for you now.
As of final release of the Mozilla 1.4PL the bug has gone bye-bye.

I'm using 1.4 on FreeBSD 5.1, RH Linux 9 and Windows XP.

Keep developing, the Mozilla is getting even better.

I'm still waiting for stable, useable Java for FBSD 5.1 for me to be in the 7th
heaven.
