User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030529 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030529 I'm not too sure what i did but the following occured a) Blue and White stripes appeared whenever I run Mozilla or Netscape b) the menu appeared in the middle of the screen and the overall layout of the application just went haywire. Because I'm not sure how to replicate the problem what I will say is even by uninstalling it in windows and reinstalling it the problem wasn't fixed. I finally fixed it when i realised mozilla was storing files in "c:\documents and settings" directory. Only by deleting this directory did i finally fix it. In the future when uninstalling mozilla could you please prompt the user whether they want to delete all user settings too which would SERIOUSLY help anyone who encounters this problem but never manages to find out how to fixit. Reproducible: Couldn't Reproduce Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
What you did was to turn on the "Debug XUL boxes" debug preference (I've seen reports of some extensions turning it on when they are installed, but that would not be a Mozilla bug....). When that preference is on, the display should look exactly as it did in your case.
