User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030507 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030507 The DOM records that a newline exists in a text node whose container has a whitespace setting of pre (ex/ HTML pre element). However, the caret and Selection object's don't recognize the newline and treat a selection after the newline the same as they render a selection before that newline. This is illustrated at the URL above. Note that this problem exists on Mozilla in OS X as well. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: see URL Actual Results: see URL Expected Results: recognizes the difference between selecting before or after a newline. Fixing this bug is important for rounding out Mozile - (http://mozile.mozdev.org) - an in-browser editing extension for Mozilla/Firebird.
