User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030507 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030507 When I initially display my START PAGE from Earthlink in either 1.3 or 1.4b, of the 3 column display, either column 1 or column 1&2 are displayed with lots of spaces taking up the remainder of the screen. This does not occur in any other web page from Earthlink or any other wen site. This started after I had been using 1.4b for a few weeks. It does NOT occur in IE6. I can get the full page to display by going into VIEW, CHAR CODING, and changing ANY setting. Occasionally I can BACK to the page and it will display fully. The problem has been reported to Earthlink. I have cleared cookies and verified that VIEW - TEXT ZOOM is at 100%. MY IE6 is set at WESTERN ISO, Mozilla is set at WESTERN ISO 8859-1. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. http://start.earthlink.net/start is my HOMEPAGE. 2. Of the 3 column display, only col 1 or 1&2 are displayed, col3 can only be seen by scrolling. Spaces occur in error as filler on screen. IE6 does not hv this problem. 3. Actual Results: Display is incorrect. Expected Results: To be consistent with IE6 full display should occur. MOZILLA 1.4B and 1.3 WORKED prior to a few days ago. I know the problem is in the coding or the setting(s). I just don't know what to change. Problem occurs in both classix and modern themes.

Confirmed: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030604 Page straightened out after a refresh.
I am having the same problem with both Netscape 7 and Mozilla 1.4. Talking to Earthlink Tech Support was a waste. Their solution was to lower the resolution on my monitor to 800x600 where it works correctly. It also worked correctly at 1024x768. Resolutions above that failed to work correctly.
I can confirm that this bug also exists in Win2000 SP3 under Mozilla 1.3 and 1.4. It only occurs intermittantly and can sometimes be resolved be refreshing. According to the author's comments, the widths are set using CSS. there's no diff between the code that renders correctly and the code that doesn't.

Adding top100 keyword, but I can't confirm whether or not this problem still occurs. Can somebody familiar with the bug check it again?

wgchinn replied in a private email: "The problem was in a build with Mozilla 1.5. The problem went away with Mozilla 1.6 and 1.7. The current version of Firefox also works." So resolving WORKSFORME.
