Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030507 Build Identifier: mozilla1.4rc1 Running Mozilla on Windows XP Pro SP2. Applied IE security patch of the week (believe it was Q815485). Mozilla 1.4rc1 will not launch. Launch attempt by hand/command line gives no feedback. Reloaded Mozilla 1.4b and things work properly. Mozilla 1.4rc1 works properly on WinXPhome with current patches. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use MS Windows Update to load IE 6 security patch-o'the-week 2. Reboot per patch instructions 3. Launch Mozilla Actual Results: Mozilla does not launch. Cursor goes to "wait" momentarily, then back to normal. Launching by hand from command line gives no response. No Mozilla processes are running on system (checked with Task Manager). Expected Results: Launch Mozilla application. All prior versions of Mozilla continue to operate properly.
Please check for new Windows updates and a new Mozilla version. Is it still happening? pi
Problem has not reappeared on current Mozilla builds and XP fixes.
