The table cell (or nested table) that in IE appears as in the second row and
second column in Mozilla ends up on the top row, third column.

I don't see any problem with 2003-06-11-08 trunk build on Win98.
Reporter, could you attach a screenshot please?
I now see that this is also not happening under win2k or Mozilla 1.31 on
Knoppix/Debian.  Perhaps something peculiar with my NT 4.0 machine and
not a general bug.  Sorry - I'll henceforth try to reproduce problems on
other platforms & computers before reporting them.

I'm changing the bug status to Won't Fix, though if you want to fix it and you
still want a screenshot let me know.
