when I try to import my favorites I press open on the web page I want. the
window closses and the file does not get imported
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.try to import a bookmark/favorite
2.press open
3.It doesn't work
Actual Results:
the window clossed I checked the bookmarks but the imported file did not exist
Expected Results:
imported the file
It would be nice if this feature worked and if one could import there entire
favorites file instead of having to individually import each link

Reporter, please try to reproduce in a recent nightly. Also, give the *exact*
steps to reproduce... *precisely* how did you try to import a favorite? Lastly,
if you create a new profile with a recent build, all favorites will
automatically be imported anyway.
I click bookmarks>manage bookmarks
I then get Bookmark manager
I click tools>Import
I then get the Import Bookmark File Wizard
I click desktop where I have put a link to my favorites folder
I click favorites
I have my favorites devided into many catagorys
I click a catagory> click a bookmark> click open Window closes
I check to see if the file had imported but it has not.

You can only import HTML bookmarks and noit your favorites.
Please do this :
open IE, select file/import-Export/Export Favorites/Export in File
And after that import this file with the Mozilla import function.

If you look at the title of the dialog that appears when you try to import
bookmarks this way, it says "Import bookmark file:". It does exactly that,
import bookmarks from an HTML file, not from the IE Favorites directory
structure. To import IE Favorites, you must either first export IE Favorites in
IE and manually import the bookmarks in Mozilla, or you must create a new
Mozilla profile and the Favorites will be automatically imported. This bug is
invalid.
