User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; Q312461; .NET CLR 1.0.3705) Build Identifier: If the Authorwareplugin (AW50 up to AW70 tested) is hosted in an IFRAME, the Authorware plugin gets painted black when a window moves over it. This does not occur if it is in an Frameset or simple Page. This happens with mozilla 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 (not tested on 1.0, and not on 1.4rc2) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the attached index.html 2. Klick on "IFrame" 3. Hit WIN-R and move the window above the plugin (any other window will do, too) Actual Results: The window leaves a black trail instead of redrawing the authorware plugin Expected Results: Redraw the authorware plugin. .) If you switch between windows (WIN-M, WIN-SHIFT-M or ALT-TAB), the plugin- area gets painted black too. .) If you hit on "static" or "loop" when they are black, authorware repaints the animation, but not the rest of the plugin area. .) I first thought this was an Authorware issue and should be fixed by macromedia. But then I discovered that this only happens within an IFrame, and that this works fine with framesets - I then looked at the source, but got hopelessly lost. If someone can tell me the basic drawing scheme, I can take a another try to find the problem.

This is the ZIP-File containing a simple Authorware Interaction. Launch the index.html to try various test cases.
The Authorware Plugin (AW7 compact) can be downloaded from this url: http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi? P1_Prod_Version=AWPcmpl&P2_Platform=Win32&P3_Browser_Version=NetscapePre4&P5_La nguage=English (if that should not work: http://www.macromedia.com/shockwave/download/alternates/)
Still an issue?
I just tried this out with FireFox 0.9.3 and the Macromedia Authorware Web Player Netscape plug-in, version 2004, and it worked without problems. Seems to me the problem has been fixed.
Since it isn't clear what exactly fixed the problem (it wasn't even clear if there was a problem), resolving WORKSFORME.
