I'm used to select text while dragging mouse. Try to select first word on any
paragraph on slashdot.org, keep left mouse button pressed and slowly move the
pointer as you read. You'll notice that from one point selection does not follow
the pointer (though still mouse button is pressed down and moving). Really
annoying, if you ask me.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. click anywhere in any text on any page (that contains some text of course)
2. drag the mouse as if you were to select the text

Actual Results:
selecting stops after approximately 1 second

Expected Results:
keep selecting text

worked fine ~3 weeks ago (AFAIK). does not happen in email messages. this is
already 3rd build and 2nd PC I experience this on. workaround: move to the
ending point of selection and hold Shift, then click.
After doing some investigation, I've found the source of the problem: believe it
or not but it's "titlebar info 1.43 (gen_tbar_2.dll)" from WinAmp. It does
refresh title of window every second so that's why there's the 1 second 'lag'.
