Selecting table cells and switching to another tab & back selects whole page text.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open http://mozilla.org/ and also another tab
2. Select few lines of links on the left column
3. Switch to other tab & back
Actual Results:
Whole page text is selected and can't be deselected with click on page, Ctrl+A &
click clears.
Expected Results:
Only selected text stays selected
Regression in 1.5a, few weeks back was ok.

I´m using the default theme (classic?), and I didn´t see what you are seeing.
Are you using Modern, or another theme, or did you install other themes?

I'm using a customized Internet Explorer theme
http://kodu.neti.ee/~tar/mozilla.html but it doesn't matter since the same bug
comes out even with new profile and classic theme.

FWIW, I see this in my debug build dated around 2003-06-19 on Linux,
both Classic and Modern theme. Here's what I did:
1. load a local directory, e.g. file:///usr/local/
2. CTRL+click next to a filename to mark the table cell selected
3. CTRL+click on a link (HTML file), which in my case loads it in a new tab
in the background
4. click on the new tab
5. click on the old tab
Now everything on that page is *painted* as if it were selected,
it's not really part of the selection though, since if I copy-paste it
into a text editor all I get is my original cell selection.
Selecting and then unselecting new text on the page "repairs" those parts.
A reload repairs the whole page.
I cannot reproduce the bug with 2003-06-20-08 nightly trunk build though.

rv:1.5a Gecko/20030623 trunk build and it's ok again, no select all effect
anymore. 20030619 wasn't very good overall anyway.
If nobody objects I'd mark this bug fixed, sorry for jumping the gun so early.
And BTW it didn't have to be table cells that were selected, just more than one
paragraph selected did the trick too.

Looks like this little critter is gone for good, no need to keep it around anymore.
