Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030611 Mozilla Firebird/0.6
The title is pretty self explanatory. Basically, this is a proposal to add the
icons beside all of the URLs in the location bar drop down, including any custom
icons for the site based on favicon.ico.
Reproducible: Always

I'm thiking "polish" keyword might apply here, but I'll hold off on adding it,
because I'm not sure if there might be some reason we don't have these icons in
the location drop down.

Does this belong in Component -> Location Bar?
Or perhaps it even belongs in Produce -> Firebird?
I am still unsure of when a bug applies to both browsers or just one.

This suggestion refers to the regular drop down URL list (not autocomplete).

I have attached an example to help demonstrate the differences.
It compares the Drop Down list example to the Autocomplete example in Mozilla
Firebird. Then, as a point of refernce, it compares the differences between
the two in Internet Explorer.
To explain things, in my mind, autocomplete and the URL drop down are two
serarate things. (To be honest, this idea probably comes from IE) so, when
Bug 173318 says "when using the auto-complete feature" I did not believe it to
apply to this bug report. However, as I thought about it, I suppose it's
possible that in the case of Mozilla Firebird, the word "autocomplete" refers
to both. So, with this image attachement, I would
1) like to show the differences I see in my mind
2) show that the idea does come from IE, in case any legal issues are there
about doing the same thing, and
3) find out if we can allow icons in the URL drop down, but not the
autocomplete. (In other words, can we turn this into a valid enhancement
suggestion?)

I am reopening this bug, so that that the issue can be considered more closely.
Bug 173318 specifically says the words "autocomplete." However, as the
attachment shows, "autocomplete" and "Url drop down" are two very separate
items. Whether people actually call them by those names, I am not sure.
The question is whether Bug 173318 refers to both of these items or not. If it
does refer to both items, then this is a duplicate. However, Bug 173318 doesn't
seem to address two seprate items.

You can distinguish in this case as you have shown here, but this isn't done in
Firebird. In its essence the code for displaying the autocomplete and the
location bar dropdown is the same. So a WONTFIX for one is also valid for the other.
Sorry, but the devs decided that way. Remarking dupe.
