If meta info includes returns, page info does not translate those returns into spaces, regardless of charset of page. See attached graphic; the boxes for return codes should be spaces.

newlines now appear to be totally dropped rather than converted to spaces (arguably this is the right behaviour) but otherwise WFM.

Yes, newlines are now totally dropped rather than displayed as symbols. Totally dropping newlines is incorrect (and not the behaviour mentioned as needed in the description); coping with this behaviour would require explicit insertion of spaces at the end of each line before the newline by every page author - and trailing spaces are considered bloat. Newlines should be converted to spaces for display in Page Info, as is done elsewhere for html. So, still buggy. Also, View Page Info doesn't wrap text itself in its dialog, but puts everything that is on one single line as one long line with an ellipsis (...), so the Page Info dialog has to be stretched to read long amounts of information (long meta keyword or description strings). Expecting Page Info to wrap text like pretty much every sensible text display application since 1990 is a reasonable requirement. So, reopening this.
