User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030516 Mozilla Firebird/0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030516 Mozilla Firebird/0.6 Unexpected behavior. When the user downloads files using Firebird, the download page maintains a list of files that have already been saved. When scrolling through the list, the user will (from time to time) scroll the list all the way to the bottom. When this happens, the item in the listbox which has been selected will be executed. This occurs without the user clicking on the file itself. It only happens when the user presses the down-arrow button on the vertical scroll bar; using the scrollbar slider, or mouse scroll-wheel, does not trigger the unexpected results. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Download a file. 2. Open 'Downloads' pane (View > Sidebar > Downloads Ctrl+E) 3. Click an arbitrary *executable* file name in the pane, but only once 4. Click on the down-arrow of the vertical scrollbar until the bottom of the list box is reached 5. Press a few more times for good measure ;) Actual Results: The executable file selected in the listbox will now run, once for each mouse-click after reaching the bottom. Expected Results: Nothing; not execute the file.
This behavior happens to me as well w/ Mozilla. Since my downloads are always appended to the bottom of the list, it happens nearly every time I download something new. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030625
I was also able to launch the file when the selected file was nowhere near the bottom of the list - I just hit the up or down arrows on the scrollbar a few times and it would launch the file no matter where I was.
