User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4a) Gecko/20030401
A couple of times I have told mozilla to download all the posts in a very large
group (which of course takes time). If I stop mozilla part way through (by
clicking on another group for example), and then click back on the group, when
mozilla eventually finishes there are multiple copies of some posts and various
strange effects (when I try to collapse a thread it will only "half-collapse",
leaving part of the thread visable)
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Subscribe the large group (>10,000 posts)
2. Tell mozilla to download all headers
3. Click off group before finished
4. Go back to group
Actual Results:
Multiple copies of some posts
Expected Results:
Not multiple copies of some posts
If there is some log I can take that may help finding the bug, I will be happy
to do so. I am leaving this bug as "major" because it is very hard to escape
from (I find I have to desubscribe from the whole server to get mozilla to fix
itself)

I've seen strange things like this one on quite a few occasions. This is from
2003062808, same happens on 2003070708.
Is this what is happening with you?

This is what happens for me when the above thread is collapsed after being
expanded.
The whole process is the same whether I am in All or Threads with Unread mode.
But a more serious problem is that actual replies aren't being shown at any
point unless I go into Unread, so that anyone is likely to miss them.
Yep, that's exactly the problem I'm seeing :)
It's still present in:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624
as well... :\

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
Thank you for your help in this matter.
