With TrueType anti-aliasing enabled, the anti-aliased font options (the ones that begin with capital letters) only include ISO-8859-x options, and no ISO-10646 (UTF) options, even when the same font is listed in its non-anti-aliased form with an ISO-10646-1 form. This is confusing, but not really a hindrance, since when the anti-aliased ISO-8859-1 option is chosen for Unicode display, it displays Unicode characters without problems.
