RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 270668

People

(Reporter: mdbhome, Assigned: bugzilla)

Details

User-Agent:       Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030516 Mozilla Firebird/0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030516 Mozilla Firebird/0.6

When one attempts to reset the Firebird home page, using the Tools->Options menu
General tab and hitting the "Use current pages" button, the address of the first
tab (when multiple browser tabs are open) is used, rather than the tab selected

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open two tabs
2. Select the rightmost one
3. Click Tools->Options->General
4. Click "Use current pages"

Actual Results:
The leftmost tab address was set for the home page.

Expected Results:
The rightmost (selected) tab address should have been set.
Well, at least on my box using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US;
rv:1.5a) Gecko/20030702 Mozilla Firebird/0.6 ALL URIs of the currently opened
tabs get entered into the datafield - and this is indented behaviour (see bug
#188231).

So from my point of view the described behaviour in this bug report is not the
correct one, but your "expected results" of the bug report are not correct
behaviour, too. => please retest with latest nightly and fresh profile to get
the correct behaviour.

Suggesting "Duplicate" since the expected results of this bug report meet the
requested functionality of bug #188231 (only current tab should be considered
when setting up Home Page) though bug #188231 has been marked "WONTFIX".

Oops. My humble apologies - you are quite right. It was just that the URL for my
first test tab was so long that I didn't realise the two were concatenated.
Sorry for wasting your time.
