User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312 Hello, I have a Yahoo email account whose email I read by using Mozilla as a POP client. I configure Mozilla to leave all email messages on the server and only delete them on the server if I delete the message in Mozilla. Usually, the above works for explicit emails that I delete using Mozilla. That is, if I delete a particular email from Mozilla's Inbox, it is put in the Trash folder and when I empty out the trash folder and click on "Get Msgs" again , the deleted message is also cleared off from the server. This is as expected. The problem happens when I use message filters to delete some of the incoming mail automatically. I have a filter in Mozilla setup such that any email whose subject line contains SPAM is moved automatically from the Inbox folder to the Trash folder. This much works. However, now if I empty out the Trash folder and then press "Get Msgs", this does not result in the corresponding email messages getting deleted on the POP server. This is the bug. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Use Mozilla as a POP email client for a server like Yahoo 2.Setup a filter in Mozilla to move some of the emails received automatically to the Trash folder 3. When you receive some emails that are moved into Trash by the message filter, try emptying out Trash and clicking on "Get Msgs" again. 4. Login to the POP server explicitly and check the mail there - you'll find that the email message has not been deleted. Actual Results: The email that was deleted in Mozilla was not deleted on the POP server. Expected Results: It should have sync'd with the POP server so as to correctly delete the mail.

Changing to ALL as I'm seeing this on Win2k while talking to a GroupWise server. I have a filter to delete emails that really don't get deleted on the pop server. I'm still trying to trace the network traffic to see what is really going back to the server. (PS - The "delete messages on server when moved from Inbox" is set). w/Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/2003082804
