User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 each time I press 'k' to ignore a thread, the first message in the newsgroup is selected. this is pretty new - I think it didn't even happen in 1.4RC3. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. view a newsgroup 2. ignore a thread Actual Results: thread is ignored, but selection jumps to 1st message. Expected Results: not jump
I just realized this only happens when the messages aren't sorted by thread - sorting by date, for example. I still think it's a bug.

My sorting (and otherwise vanilla) setup is: Date, Descending, Threaded, and the bug also happens for me. Very frustrating. Also, as mentioned in bug 282992, Ignore thread and watch thread are disabled when multiple messages are selected. Csaba Gabor from Vienna
