User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624
Every time I launch the browser, the window gets moved about 25 pixels to the
left or the right of the window (ie, if i quit with the window placed butted up
against the right side of my screen, then next time i launch, the window is
moved about 25 pixels to the left from where it should be, same thing happens on
the left side of the screen but the window moves 25 pixels toi the right, its as
if the window is side-phobic and insists on keeping its distance).
This occurs even if i turn Quick Launch off ( i had seen some old reports about
this sort of thing happening and the window would get placed about the same
number of pixels lower from the top, this same thing used to happen to me in
mozilla <= 1.2 but it appeared to be fixed in 1.3, this problem that i am
descibing today also happened in mozilla 1.3 and still occurs in 1.4).
I installed mozilla 1.4 over my old 1.3 installation.
I have Winnows XP home addition with all the critical updates, service paks,
etc, to date. This type of problem does not occur with any other software i have.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. launch Mozilla
2. move the window so it butts up against either the left or right side of the
screen
3. quit mozilla (QuickLaunch can be either n or off it doesnt matter)
4. relaunch mozilla
Actual Results:
>> window is moved 25 pixels away from side of screen, exact placement not
preserved, but the placement is relative to the last placement, its just 25
pixels away from whatever side of the screen it was last butted up against.
Expected Results:
Should open in the exact location it was quit with, the window should still be
butted up against the side of the screen.| Reporter | ||

!! This problem fixed itself when I installed Netscape 7.1 -perhaps some of the settings somewhere that might affect this are shared?
marking fixed per user comment.
