News filters do not filter messages according to your filter criteria. 2. "tools/run filters on folder" menu option disabled when in a news group. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. see problem defition above. 2. 3. Actual Results: messages which should have been filtered were present when accessing the news group. If the "filter logging" function is active nothing is in the filter log. Expected Results: Filtered the messages according to the news filter criteria.
This started with Release 1.4 rc1. Release 1.3b did not have this problem.
I found that it does work but not on messages previously downloaded but only on newly downloaded messages.
