Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 I had downloaded the J2RE package and installed it under the /opt directory. Providing the link to the plugin directory gave me the following problem when subsequently attempting to start up the Mozilla: [root@midgaard plr]# ln -sf /opt/j2re1.4.2/plugin/i386/ns610/libjavaplugin_oji.so /usr/local/mozilla14/plugins/libjavaplugin_oji.so [root@midgaard plr]# exit exit [plr@midgaard plr]$ alias moz alias moz='/usr/local/mozilla/mozilla' [plr@midgaard plr]$ moz& [1] 2213 [plr@midgaard plr]$ INTERNAL ERROR on Browser End: No manager for initializing factory? System error?:: Success [1]+ Exit 255 /usr/local/mozilla/mozilla [plr@midgaard plr]$ ========================= If removing the link afterwards I can start up Mozilla but then without any Java support. This is on both a RH7.3 and a Slackware 7.0 system, all updated in order to be able to build and run the latest Linux kernels, eg. this being run on Linux-2.6.0-test1 that was build locally. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.See description under "Details". 2. 3. Actual Results: See description under "Details". Expected Results: Started up as normal with Java support.
