21272 - Program crash on setting "homepage" in preferences

I originally changed my homepage to a different site from the default.
I then attempted to change it back to www.mozilla.org
Upon hitting the "Okay" button, the program crashed with the following error:

The instruction at "0x01077f93" refrenced memory at "0x0077011f". The memory
could not be "read".

The second address is different every time I try it.
Have attempted several times with multiple address, by hitting the "Use Current
Page" button.  All times it has crashed save the first time I changed it.

I am running WinNT4 SP6.

i cannot seem to repro this. am using build 1999120908 on NT-sp5.

do you have Talkback turned on? if so, try to reproduce this crasher and
hopefully Talkback will email the environment and stack trace info so we could
investigate it further (let us know the Talkback incident ID #, too). thanks!

The machine in question is at work, I'll repro it on tue

In the meantime i have reproduced the crash on my win98 (4.10.1998) box as well.
PII Intel MMX 64MB SP2

I'll upload the crash details produced via Norton for two separate crashes.

thanks for the attachments. another thing you could do is to check if you can
repro this with the most recent builds (it might no longer occur).

just tried on 12/10 win32 build on win95. seems to work ok for me too.

we need a talkback or debgger stack trace, or a widely reproducable
problem on the most recent daily builds to hold this
on the m12 list.  moving out to m13.  let me know if
more info becomes avialable.  thanks.

Just tried it on build 19991210 on Win98, the crash does not occur for this
build.  I will download the latest build and try on my NT box.

downloaded build 19991213 and tried on the NT SP6 machine -- the system did not
crash.  Looks like the problem has been fixed.
