The empty tab cannot be closed, and will only disappear when the tab containing the page that was opened has been closed. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Display History with Ctrl-H 2. Middle click on any page displayed Actual Results: Two tabs appeared - one blank, one with page selected Expected Results: Only opened one tab with the selected page. Or, it should have let me close the blank tab.
Steve, this works for me with the 20030714 build on Windows 2000. Since your build is two months old, please download a current build from ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firebird/nightly/latest-trunk/ and test with that.
WORKSFORME with exactly the same build and os as yours. I use the middle button extensively for launching favourites and have never come across the problem you describe.
Marking WORKSFORME. The bug was reported against a very old build and cannot be reproduced with current builds.
