RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 209116

People

(Reporter: christian.heid, Assigned: darin.moz)

Details

(Whiteboard: [digest-auth])

User-Agent: Mozilla/4.75 [de] (WinNT; U)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; de-AT; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312

When Digest Proxy Authentication is used, the login-Window pops up everytime i
make a POST request.
During GET everything works fine.
I analysed the HTTP header and found out, that Moz does not calculate A2 with
method=POST. It still uses method=GET !
After new authentication (nerves) the sessions continues till a new POST request
appears...

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

I didn't tests with Mozilla 1.4, but expect the same behaviour
does it also happen with 1.4 ?
If so, please attach a HTTP log from the session, see instructions here:
http://www.mozilla.org/projects/netlib/http/http-debugging.html

I think this is exactly the same as what's described in Bug 209116, and it is
reported in that bug that build 2003070107 no longer has this symptom. Can
someone confirm and mark this bug as duplicate?

By the way, I tried to add [DUPEME] to status whiteboard but was rejected...
