User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows 98)
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624

Installed Mozilla Build 1.4 on a Windows 98SE system. I cannot access any
websites after manually setting the proxy server settings in Properties-
>Advanced->Proxies. The browser window is blank and 'Done' appears at the
bottom. Microsoft IE 6.0, which is also installed on this system, works
correctly.

One more note: We use a Linux-based proxy server to access HTTPS (SSL) sites. I
can successfully access these pages using Mozilla.

Three other users have installed the same build of Mozilla on their Windows NT
4.0 workstations. Their browsers work with the same proxy settings.

I verified that it maybe a proxy issue by changing my proxy setting to "Direct
connection to the Internet" and accessing an intranet website, which worked.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Manually configure the proxy server settings via Edit->Preferences-
>Advanced Settings->Proxies and checking the 'Manual proxy configuration.'
2. Add the addresses and port no. for HTTP Proxy, SSL Proxy, FTP Proxy, and
Gopher Proxy. The settings I used are:

HTTP Proxy: webproxy Port: 80
SSL Proxy: secure-webproxy Port:3128
FTP Proxy: webproxy Port:80
Gopher Proxy: webproxy Port:80

Note: I also tried FQDN's and the IP addresses, but had the same resultes.
Also, secure-webproxy is a Linux-based proxy server while webproxy is a Windows
Proxy Server.

Actual Results:
Any attempts to access an HTTP website (e.g. http://my.yahoo.com)fails. The
screen is blank and 'Done' appears at the bottom of the screen. Any attempt to
access an HTTPS website (e.g. https://www.lc.usaa.com/inet/lcs_corp/Logon)
succeeds.

Expected Results:
Mozilla should be able to access any HTTP website via the Microsoft Proxy Server
reporter: please provide a HTTP log using the steps described here:
