User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 If I load www.iht.com my PC increases processor load from less than 5% to more than 50%. If I load in an additional tap another page inside www.iht.com my processor works with 100% processor load until I close these pages. To close 1 (of 2) page, processor load decreases to 50%. If I close both, everything is ok again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: See Details. Actual Results: See Details. Expected Results: No increase of processor load. Sometimes the page is loaded the first time not correctly. After reload it is loaded correctly (but still with the described processor load problem).
Does the load stay at 50%+ as long as the page is open? I loaded the page in the same browser build on WinXP. The CPU load for mozilla does spike fairly high during loading, but goes down to 0 after the page has finished loading. I can't reproduce this bug.
Yes, the processor load stays 50%+ until the page is closed. To be sure, that my PC works well I loaded the page also with IE. With IE the load goes down when the page is loaded completeley.
Also if I load the page "http://www.handelsblatt.com/" I get this problem. In this page there is a "Nachrichtenticker" (news ticker) which causes the 100% load. The ticker has a period of some seconds where it stops for few seconds. During this pause the processor load goes down. When the ticker is moving, the processor load is 100%. When I close this page, the processor load is ok again.
I think this is a dupe of bug 200177, which now works for me on 1.5/Linux.
