Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030516 Mozilla Firebird/0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030516 Mozilla Firebird/0.6
If you select a part of text from a page or from the address bar, mozilla sends
to the clippord the same data 3 times.
I think it is the same data, but I couldn't verify because before a clipboard
monitor can read all the data, it has been replaced by the new data.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install a clipboard monitor than logs received data
2. Open any page in mozilla and copy some text
3. Check the clipboard monitor
Actual Results:
I see that Mozilla sent the data 3 times.
Expected Results:
Mozilla should have sent the data only once
I tryed with Firebird 6.0 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US;
rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030516 Mozilla Firebird/0.6) and with Mozilla 1.3 (Mozilla/5.0
(Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.3) Gecko/20030312), but they have the
same behaveior.
I tryed disabling all the extensions, but the bug is always alive :)

over to xp toolkit / widgets since this sounds like a clipboard issue
Does this problem happen only in certain circumstances or in all situations.
For example, if you copy some text inside a textarea or input, does that copy 3
times? Does it happen only in the address bar? Is it specific to Firebird or
does Mozilla have the same problem?
One item to note is that the clipboard might have 3 or even more "flavors" on it
(text, html, native/internal, and others)--I assume that this isn't the issue here.

What are you using to monitor the clipboard? With the Clipbook Viewer, it looks
to me like the data is copied only once. I wonder if you are in fact seeing the
different flavors that brade mentioned.

This is an automated message, with ID "auto-resolve01".
This bug has had no comments for a long time. Statistically, we have found that
bug reports that have not been confirmed by a second user after three months are
highly unlikely to be the source of a fix to the code.
While your input is very important to us, our resources are limited and so we
are asking for your help in focussing our efforts. If you can still reproduce
this problem in the latest version of the product (see below for how to obtain a
copy) or, for feature requests, if it's not present in the latest version and
you still believe we should implement it, please visit the URL of this bug
(given at the top of this mail) and add a comment to that effect, giving more
reproduction information if you have it.
If it is not a problem any longer, you need take no action. If this bug is not
changed in any way in the next two weeks, it will be automatically resolved.
