The help viewer's icon is the generic windows flag

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open the Help Viewer
2.Look up at the upper-right corner
3.Look at the taskbar entry for the Help Viewer
4.Notice the non-Mozilla style icons
Actual Results:  
The help window stayed open

Expected Results:  
Displayed more Mozilla-ish icons in the upper right corner and in the taskbar entry.

This bug exists in all the themes that I have tried (20+)

Works for me with latest (07/19) nightly, Windows XP. Have you tried the Mordern
and Classic themes or a new, clean profile?

PS - I assume you mean "upper left" in step 2 above.

It's the same in about 10 of the themes I've tried, including Modern and
Classic.  I havn't tried the new profile thing, but I don't think it would make
a difference.

I'm not seeing this either. This bug should be resolved WORKSFORME.

Using:
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030729

Reporter, try reinstalling Mozilla. After uninstalling, delete the Mozilla
directory (your profile will be saved) before reinstalling.

reinstalling, try the latest nightly, or at least 1.5a--or 1.5 beta, if it's out
by the time you read this.)

I was able to reproduce this on mozilla 20030815 on Win98 (on a brand-new
profile). Very strange. Can't reproduce this on WinXP or Mandrake Linux 9.1.

I've seen a couple of other Win98 only Help bugs running around. It could be a
regression from a patch (that only effects Win98).

I'll research into this.

Creating a new profile doesn't help anything.

Could it be something that managed to be excluded and forgoten from the themes?

I seem to remember this happening elsewhere, but it was in oddball places using
oddball themes

I don't think that this is a help problem. Mozilla Firebird has this same
problem (on Win98 with latest firebird nightly). This needs to be moved and
reassigned to a more appropriate component/owner.

I wonder if anyone has a working build of Mozilla on a different platform --
such as MacOS or Linux.  I'm beginning to think that the help icon is more of a
forgotten theme attribute than a Mozilla/Firebird bug.

I will find a volenteer with a different platform sometime tomorrow hopefully,
probably from the Mozilla IRC help channels.

I build Mozilla on Linux and still see this problem with Firebird. Don't see it
with help on Linux (Mandrake Linux 9.1 w/ KDE 3.1)

danm, have you heard of this problem? Could this be a XP Apps issue? It only
seems to pop up on Windows 98 and Linux builds.

This is likely not a problem with anything the Help module itself is doing.
Window icons are widget and xpfe level things. In fact, the Help window is the
only one I can think of that doesn't do anything with window icons. It doesn't
have its own; it just uses the application icon. Which makes me wonder, on
builds and machines where this bug is evident, does Explorer show an incorrect
application icon?

I'm taking a guess and reassigning this bug to the listed module owner for
windows widgetry (Ere! that's you?) and cc:ing some gtk widgetry and xpfe folks.

danm: yes explorer shows the right icon. I was wondering if anyone had
encountered this :), it sort of bothered me on and off (switching between
tardis-w98-laptop and raistlin-w2k-desktop).

I suppose I could debug it. but I have a short attn span - incentives welcome :)

This bug is present on any Firefox window on Windows 98 and ME and probably all
non-NT Windows systems.
I don't find it trivial since the window icon is crucial for finding your
application among a dozen of windows. Without this icon, the application is hard
to find in the windowing system, thus making it hollow, anonymous.
New users would lose it in the number of windows before they adopted it, and
feel this is not a real application. They would not consider Firefox seriously.

WFM with SeaMonkey 1.1b using Windows XP and since support for Win9x will be dropped anyway with suiterunner, could the bug be closed and marked as WFM?

I don't think marking this bug as WORKSFORME would be valid even though suiterunner isn't going to support Win9x. The affected OS doesn't change.

But anyway, I don't see this on Win95 OSR 2.5, so as Aqualon asked, I'm marking this as WORKSFORME.
