I want a green Mozilla, too.
I think the cute, green moz designs (like those on the Mozilla Museum at http://home.snafu.de/tilman/mozilla/)would make a better soft toy than the red moz logos.
Yay, someone who agrees with me! :D I'd still like the red ones to exist, but it should be like a palette swap, not whole new designs. (In english: the same plushie, but in green or red. Not two different plushies with their own color.)
What's about a Firewird soft toy? ;)
Re #3: Most of those are somewhat too slender imo, but the li'l one of the old splash screen would be my favourite... :-D
Request forwarded to MozSource contact.
Even if we don't have the rights to the green lizard, I'd still buy a red Mozilla plushie :)
I just suggested this on the Mozillazine Firefox General forum and was pointed here. Every person (five or so) I've suggested a cuddly firefox toy to has gotten that "I WANT ONE NOW!" look in their eye. That and a red Mozilla of course ;-) What is the trademark situation with the firefox and the red Mozilla? Separate trademark needed in all applicable countries for the cuddly toy? Can we find a manufacturer of suitable ethical qualities at a reasonable price?
Examples of red panda plushies: http://anwo.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/redpanda.html (even the tail could be turned into flames :-) ) http://www.krittersinthemailbox.com/animals/redpanda/fit955500.htm (looks confused - a new user?) http://www.cuddlyland.com/products.php?pc=3579 http://www.allplush.com/storefront/StuffedAnimals/RedPanda.html http://fuzzystuffedtoys.com/Red_Panda.html
Firefox soft toy now available on Mozilla Store: http://store.mozsource.com/gpageload.do (Will ship in about 2 weeks)
Firefox is not the only Mozilla product, so I think closing this bug on the fact there exsists a firefox soft toy is a little bit unfair to the other products of the organisation. (This bug is not only explicit opened for firefox.) This bug should only closed if we have clearly information about other possible toys too or when the summary is changed explicit to 'firefox soft toys' => reopening
I've contacted Michael at the store about this.
Message from Michael at the store: > We are going to look into this and plan to get back to you. >
Why in god's name was this reopened after literally 10 years?!
It's actually been literally fixed in terms of comment #0 when Mozilla shipped stuffed dinos to people giving donations to the Foundation for the 15-year anniversary of the Mozilla project. (So the status is OK even if it was reopened 10 years ago.)
