After deleting a large number (~120) messages from a trash folder using 'empty
trash' in its right-click context menu, dummy messages remain in the message
list. Also, bug 192870 is manifested in a worse way than is mentioned in that
bug's description - now the message display pane holds an invalid bitmap, not
simply the text of a deleted message.
