User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.0.2) Gecko/20030208 Netscape/7.02 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4b) Gecko/20030516 Mozilla Firebird/0.6 When I turn on Mozilla Firebird, it starts looking for my connection to roadrunner. It never seems to find it, and I cannot veiw any websites other than the homepage. when I first turned it on, I could veiw other supages of mozilla.org, but know I can't even do that. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.open Mozilla Firebird 2.wait for connection to be found 3.type in website Actual Results: popup asks to redial. If i click redail, the popup closes, yet comes back up instantly. after I did it a few more times, i clicked cancel and closed mozilla. however, the most recent reproduction of the bug resulted in the website appearing right as I closed the browser. Expected Results: mozilla should have located my modem through my network hub and connected. when I tried to open a website, it should have loaded instantly due to my cable modem.
Mozilla isn't supposed to control your network connection or dial up. If you are using a proxy of any sort you may want to hit stop, then go to Tools->Options->Connections and make sure everything is as it should be. Given that you stated it was working, and something no longer works, please try a new profile and a clean install of the same build in a new directory. I am marking this bug as WORKSFORME as this was working for you, however something either changed or corrupted in your install, or your network environment has changed.
