User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030726 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030726 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1 If I click on a download link or get redirected to one by a webpage, Firebird crashes. I've been able to avoid this error by using the downloads sidebar and the save-as menu option, but obviously this cannot work for every download I want to do. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to website 2. Click download link 3. Download dialog box opens. 4. Crash. Actual Results: Windows and Talkback both ask to report the bug to their respective servers. Expected Results: Downloaded the file? This bug started when I downloaded the latest Mozilla nightly, but the problem has spread to other versions. I will later post a Dr. Watson log, as Dr. Watson is currently disabled and I want to just post this now.
A specific URL to see and test would be helpful. So would the Talkback ID number from the Talkback report.
This sounds like a dupe of bug 213985. (XP specific, when left-clicking or entering URL into location bar, and only when the file extension is associated with an application.)

Colin, do you still see this problem in latest nightly together with a fresh profile? You can create an additionally profile without loosing your original settings by calling MozillaFirebird.exe with parameter "-ProfileManager". Please don't install any additional extensions / themes in this profile while re-testing the problem.

No, the crash is gone. The new download dialogue seems to have fixed it. Thanks.
