If I try to open a file
  ftp://ftp.dante.de/pub/tex/macros/latex/base/latexbug.tex
then Mozilla (reading /etc/mime.types) shows me:
  "You have chosen to download a file of type: application/x-tex [...]"
"( ) open using an application"
"( ) save this file to disk"

I miss the option:
( ) show in browser as text

May files I want to simply view are either actually text files despite the MIME
type or are other files (perl, TeX, Makefile, ...) which make perfectly sense to
be viewed as text.

(This is with 1.2.1, but I'm quite sure I also saw it in 1.5a. NS4 had an option
"Handle this by: ( ) Netscape" which worked similar.)
