User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 On dynamic-content sites (e.g. AVS Forum, multiple others) clicking on the 'back' button results in the display of a blank page at least once per browsing session. The conditions triggering this do not appear to be predictable from the user perspective, other than the fact that the bug only occurs at dynamic-content sites. This appears to happen most often on discussion-forum sites, although I've observed it at least a few times on shopping sites with forms-based navigation. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. Sign in to forum-type site, for example AVS Forum (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb) 2. Navigate through categories, topics, and paginated threads using link-clicks to go forward and the back-button to back up Iterate through (2) until the problem recurs. Actual Results: Somewhere between 10 and 200 nav actions after entering the site, clicking on Back will result in the display of a blank screen instead of the page referenced in the location bar. Clicking on Reload results in the page being displayed correctly. Expected Results: Clicking Back to return to a dynamic-content page must result in the display of that page *or* the form-repost confirmation dialog box, not a blank page. Might possibly be related to tabbed browsing. Further testing using standard (no-tabs) browsing required to confirm/disprove whether this only happens while using tabbed browsing.
I have the same exact problem. It started in Moz 1.3, and continues on to Moz 1.5b. I am not 100% positive, but it does not seem to happen on Windows ME. Very prominient on Windows 2000. It only happens on one site: http://z.iwethey.org/forums/render/board/show?boardid=1 Definitely more than once per session.
Dupe of bug 169286?
I've only had this happen once in 1.5, which is statistically insignificant. I think this might be fixed, and yes, I think it's probably a dupe of 169286.
