weird calculation of "hours left"?

I set "orig. estimated hours" to 0.5, set "worked" to 0.5 and got "hours left"
"-0.5"??

When I type in worked hours that result in a negative "hours left", after
sending the report I only get a blank page in the browser and nothing else
happens, nothing gets commited, no error report...
Seen here too.
