Any attempt to open the above URL results in Firebird dying, needing the task to
be ended. I've searched the bug list and found lock-ups relating to Java, but I
don't think there's any on this page that isn't used on other pages on the site
that work okay. Offending page opens okay in Fast Browser (IE 5 back end).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Go to http://www.engineerstoolroom.co.uk/used_machines.htm
Actual Results:  
Firebird locked up

Expected Results:  
Opened the page

Firebird build in use is the nightly from 29th July.

WFM 20030729 PC/WinXP.  Took a bit long to load though.  Probably the Java.
What version of Java are you using?
Can you replicate it in a new profile?  Or in a Mozilla installation?

WFM.  It pauses for a good few seconds but that is just the java applet loading
for the (completly unnessesary) buttons.  Each button is loaded as a seperate
applet which is why it takes so long - 12 applets on a single page isn't exactly
speedy.

Weird. I'm using Sun Java 1.3.1_02 with both Firebird and Fast Browser and yet
Fast Browser loads the page in no time. The version of Mozilla I've got is
ancient (haven't bothered downloading again since switching to Firebird) but it
also dies.
It's definitely Java that's stuck though, as the console won't open. 
For me, it just stops, with no activity at all on the modem.
I guess the bottom line is this isn't really a Firebird bug?

WFM for me with the 20030809 W2K build with Java 1.4.0

Mark, please try updating your Java Runtime Environment. Reopen if you still see
this then.

As Simon says, it works fine with JRE 1.4.1. I haven't a clue why the same
problem didn't occur with Fast Browser, though!
