User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030802 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030802 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1

The JavaScript Menus in the upper right corner on www.microsoft.com don't
work..When you touch with IE or Opera!! over the "All Products | Support |
Search | Microsoft.com Guide " text with the mouse, a java script menu opens.
In Firebird nothing happens.

But that's not all. www.nvidia.com has a javascript popup menu on the top of the
site. The curious is that while the page is loading the javascript menus work
partially, that means firebird show me the menus, but i can't click them. When
the page has finnished loading Firebird not once show me the menus!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to the page(s)
2. Try to get the menu
3.

Actual Results:
nothing happens or you can't click on an entry

Expected Results:
Firebird should show the menu and you should be able to click them
Not a JS Engine issue. Reassigning to Browser-General until we
can get more information.

snapman: are there any errors in Tools > Web Development > JavaScript Console?
(be sure to clear it of any previous errors first)

Also seeing this on Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b)
Gecko/20030804

No error reported..., it just doesn't work...
yes, i can confirm #2 from Rok Kralj...there are no errors reported in
JavaScript Console...

a lot of people tell me that they are nervy because Mozilla/Firebid has problems
with nearly all of these javascript menus like on microsft.com oder nvidia.com
MS sends diffrent pages depending on the useragent the browser sends it. The
one it sends to MSIE includes support for menus. The one it sends to Moz does
not inclued support for menus. IF you change moz's useragent the mneu system
still will not work because it uses document.all for the menu system among other
problems.

I didn't bother with nvidia b/c there are many bugs on that issue. (Bug 188153)
both are probably dupes of one of the dependencies of bug 114158 and also bug
110629 for the nvidia issue (and also bug mentioned in comment 4).
why mozilla can't use document.all? Opera is able to show it!

these are both dupes of the ms and nvidia bugs. Snapman, we don't support
document.all for a number of good reasons. The fact that Opera gets by with it
on MS's site for the top menu is no real indicator. See the left side menus on
the homepage and msdn for examples of other proprietary menu implementations MS
uses that Opera doesn't support either.
