Description

When I place another window above mozilla browser and try scrolling in mozilla
without raising it's, sometimes there will be unrepainted rectangles appearing.

The rectangles not repainted are usually the ones at the edge of browser window,
and not the ones caused by the covering window.

The same seems to work fine in 4.7.

Possibly related to bug #12860.

All I see is some smearing of the exposed regions, which is repainted correctly
once the scrolling stops, for the area below the obscuring window. The area
above the obscuring window remains drawn incorrectly even after the scrolling
stops. reassigning to pavlov as p4 for m18

Clipped windows *were* being corrupted when scrolled. I saw this behavior as
recently as 2000 March 14, but it is gone in build 2000031516 i686-pc-linux-gnu
(Linux 2.2.14, XFree86 4.0). X scrolling seems to have been way beefed up
lately, and I suspect this was fixed. Suggest FIXED.

Agreed, FIXED. However, I am still getting "black" flashes when scrolling both
horizontally and vertically so I am going to request that bug (bug 28023) being
reopened.
