This isn't because Mozilla is treating the file extension differently. The page
is being served as text/plain, so Mozilla is treating it as plain text like the
server says to.
That IE doesn't do this is an IE bug.
The site needs to fix the server setting, and/or fix the file extension. I
would suggest you write them and ask them to.

termine.html1 is still present on the server but the real content is now at http://www.hamburg-inline.de/html/termine.html . They even have a Get Firefox button on their site.
