User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Altough I selected in the menu that the sidebar should always be visible, after startup the sidebar is missing. I'll attach a screenshot showing what's wrong Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select that the sidebar should be visible 2. Start Mozilla --> sidebar is not there 3.
I remember this was supposed to be fixed long ago. Reporter: did you try with fresh profile?

what happends if you press F0 twice ?
You probably mean F9 right? After pressing F9 twice the sidebar appears correctly.
Using a new fresh user profile I can't reproduce the problem. So there probably is an error in my standard profile?
Can you delete the file "localstore.rdf" in your profile while Mozilla isn't running ? (and yes, i mean F9)
Deleting localstore.rdf seems to fix the problem. I had to re-check "Show Sidebar" and now it is visible again after restarting Mozilla. Do I have to expect any side effects because localstore.rdf is now a new file?
It's only possible that you must chech, uncheck, recheck some settings for the shown buttons in the toolbars (edit\preferences\navigator) marking wfm (corrupot profile) Please reopen if you get this problem again. Attach the corrupt file in that case
