User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win95; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624 Sorry, by mistake I wrote all the details in the summary. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
Shortening summary. The original summary read: I was on the ATT e-mail web site. I was on the list of messages pages, and tried to open a message with an attachment in Word. This message was from a reliable source which intended no malice. Nothing happened for a while. The mouse did not operate on the web site: I could not move the pointer, though no hour glass appeared. I could only exit the the browser by clicking on the "x" in the upper right corner. I did re-load the browser, which worked, but I got a message "mozilla.org" not found", or something very similar. When I wrote the ATT address in te URL line, I got the same message. I exited the browser , and re-started the computer. When trying this, I got a window that an application was busy or did not respond; I selected the option "wait", and after a few seconds I could restart. Exacly the same happened: I got to te browser, but got the same error messages. I shut the computer down, and re-started it after a few hours. This time, I could load the browser, got the Mozilla home page, could log on to the ATT mail web site, and it worked. However, when I tried to open the offending message, the same happened all over again. I asked the sender to send the attachment in plain ASCII. Then it worked without an difficulty. However, one thing has changed. Before the first crash, when starting the computer, at one time the screen caned suddenly from black to blue. Now, instead of changing suddenly, for a fraction of a second the uppermost part (about one fift) of the screen is not just blue, but shows a fine grained pattern of different shades of blue. I hope that this report is helpful. The next time I run into problems, I will write te details down right away in order to be mre precise. Hans Joksch

reporter - I'm afraid this report isn't much use as it is. If it can be reproduced with a recent build of Mozilla and you can give some more detail (a copy of the attachment causing the problem, for example), you can reopen this bug. thanks.
