I closed 0.6.1 with the bookmarks sidebar open, and then set up the 20030810
nightly. The browser started up, as expected, with the sidebar open. I closed
the sidebar and quit the browser, but the next time I started up, the sidebar
was visible. The only way I could get rid of it was to download 0.6.1 again and
quit from there with the sidebar closed.
Reproducible: Always

Hmmm, unable to reproduce now with 20030811 nightly. Maybe a hiccup in 0810, or
a glitch in my prefs?
