User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030810 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1+
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030810 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1+

When autoscrolling and there is a small horizontal scroll possible, the 'up/down
autoscroll icon' appears instead of the 'all directions autoscroll icon'.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a window that can be scrolled up and down
2. Make it smaller horizontaly, so that a scrollbars appear at the bottom
3. Autoscroll

Actual Results:
When there's only a small horizontal scroll possible, the autoscroll icon shown
is the up/down icon instead of the all directions icon.

Expected Results:
The all directions icon should be shown as soon as horizontal scrolling is possible.
Confirmed with the 20030811 build on W2K.

> When there's only a small horizontal scroll possible

(7.1 / win32)
"small" looks like to be exactly the width of the vertical scrollbar,
even if I make it huge (like 48px) of thin

Still happens with FireFox 0.9.2 on Win 2003

Not with 0.9.3 on xp home edition, will have 'all directions autoscroll icon'
except the bug #247983 still same.

Using the 1.8b2 Gecko/20050305 Firefox/1.0+ build this occurs. However, there
was a point not too long ago where this bug didn't exist. I was going to file a
new bug, but found this old one.

There are slight differences though. There have to be horizontal and vertical
scrollbars for this bug to appear. For instance, go to a page, and resize its
window until both scrollbars appear. Start to autoscroll. The 'up-down' icon
appears, instead of the 4-way one.

It no longer seems that only a 'small horizontal scroll' is needed. It happens
even when you can scroll lots. The reason both scrollbars are needed to express
this bug is because when only horizontal bars are avilable, the 4-way icon appears.

Looks like it's related to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212002
