Steps to Reproduce:
1. enter // as address
2. press enter or Go


Actual Results:  
the browser hang

Expected Results:

I confirm that // as an url will hang the system, will make the cpu get very
high (like in an infinite loop).

I think the expected results should be like in other cases when the url is not
valid:
an alert box saying "The URL is not valid and cannot be loaded."

hang keyword should be added.

wow, it was hard searching for a duplicate, I just used normal "find in this
page" on a long bug list with " // " as a query.
