Thunderbird has nothing like this. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce:
OS: Windows XP → All
Hardware: PC → All
It appears an extension already does this. See http://preferential.mozdev.org/ However, my RFE still stands--either this should be included in the trunk or something like it should. If you disagree, mark invalid.
i'm gonna close this out as I believe it belongs as an extension which you pointed out we do have already.
