The user should be able to set up receive alerts for specific filter rules, much
like the ones for all e-mail received. For example, one of the filtering options
could be "Alerting:" with the options Show an Alert, Play a Sound, etc etc (the
options in Preferences -> General).

Yeah, that would be good.

I currently get *many* alerts to say that:
Server foo.net has disconnected. The server may have gone down or there may be a
network problem.

I take it I probably have a mail account with a poor quality IMAP server. I'd
still like an option to "switch off" these repeated alerts.
