User-Agent: Mozilla/4.7C-CCK-MCD {C-UDP; EBM-APPLE} (Macintosh; I; PPC) Build Identifier: 1. I get through the installation process to the point where it's copying file then I get - 'Error 340: Unexpected error' I've tried installers for 1.01 and 1.02 , full installer and partial download installer and all do this. Any ideas? 2. same as above but I get an error message that says that a version of the program is running and that I should quit it then try again but I'll be amazed if i can find any other version of it running. This occurs even if it's the first time I have tried the installer since boot up. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1.double click installer 2.accept agreement 3.click continue to install default settings 4.click install Actual Results: Box says copying Expected Results: installed the browser!!!
I manage to run both Netscape Navigator 4.7 and Mozilla 1.4 on my PC happily side by side but does running NN 4.7 on the Mac mean that I can't install Mozilla as a stand alone browser? I don't know.
reporter - OS9/mac classic builds are no longer supported however there shouldn't be any bugs with the installer... probably something with your setup locally... you may want to post a message at mozillazine asking for some aid. You may also want to try the updated mac classic builds found at: http://wamcom.org/ as to the 2nd question you posted there should be no problems having both netscape 4 and mozilla installed or actively running. (or mozilla and netscape 6 or 7 for that matter although there may be issues with sharing the same profiles or having them both *running* at the same time) marking INVALID

I seem to recall that if you had Netscape 4.x open and tried to open Mozilla, it would give you a false error message, saying that it could not open because Netscape 6.x or Mozilla was already open. If you launched Mozilla first there would be no problem. I'm not running 9 now so I can't confirm this. However, as Mac OS 9 builds are no longer supported, I would agree with the INVALID resolution.
